La segunda mujer que recibió el Nobel de economía en la historia, fue parte del primer bloque que inauguró el Congreso Futuro 2022, donde en un resumen de su último libro “Economía para tiempos difíciles” planteó cómo el Covid-19 ha hecho la economía más complicada y que la solidaridad entre países será un punto clave en la solución de esta pandemia.
Abhijit Banerjee y Esther Duflo del MIT y Michael Kremer de Harvard se quedaron con la medalla. Los dos dos primeros establecieron una red global de académicos cuya sede para América Latina está en nuestro país.
