Los grandes ganadores de los Critics' Choice Awards 2020

Este domingo 12 de enero se realizó la vigésimo quinta ceremonia de los Critics' Choice Awards, premios que celebran lo mejor del cine y la televisión según la crítica estadounidense.

El actor Taye Diggs fue el anfitrión del encuentro que convoca a las mayores estrellas de último año tanto en la pantalla grande como chica, pero su participación fue más bien acotada.

Alternando categorías mayores y menores, la crítica dio a conocer a sus elegidos en voz de los actores y actrices del momento, en una jornada de ritmo ágil que finalizó a la medianoche.

Joaquín Phoenix fue el primer galardonado como Joker, una decisión que no representó sorpresa tras recibir el Globo de Oro en la misma categoría el pasado domingo. Lo mismo ocurrió con Renée Zellweger por encarnar a Judy Garland en la biopic Judy.

Lo que sí fue una anomalía en la ceremonia, fueron tres empates en los elegidos como Mejor Director (Sam Mendes y Bong Joon Ho), Mejor canción (Rocketman y Wild Rose) y Mejor Talk Show (James Corden y Seth Meyers).

Nuevamente, Hollywood fue premiado por sobre Netflix en las categorías mayores, mostrando una valoración artística de las producciones ideadas para la pantalla grande por sobre los servicios de streaming.
