Despacito suma récord en Spotify como "canción del verano" a nivel mundial

A solo días de haberse adjudicado el récord del ranking Billboard como el número uno más extenso en la historia de ese conteo, el tema Despacito marca una nueva hazaña en el mercado internacional, ahora en Spotify.

Según el medio Variety, el hit de Luis Fonsi interpretado junto a Daddy Kankee y Justin Bieber se transformó en la "canción del verano" tanto en Estados Unidos como a nivel mundial, liderando el ránking de reproducciones con 786 millones de streams calculados desde el 21 de junio a la fecha. En este listado - Songs of Summer global- el segundo puesto fue para Wild Thoughts de DJ Khaled junto a Rihanna y Bryson Tiller, mientras que el tercer puesto es ocupado por la canción Unforgettable, de French Montana.

En el conteo veraniego de EE.UU., en tanto, el segundo lugar es del tema XO TOUR Llif3, de Lil Uzi Vert, y el tercero de Wild Thoughts.

Despacito es la primera de una importante lista de canciones en español incluidas en el Top 30 del Songs of Summer global de Spotify, donde también aparecen Mi Gente de J Balvin con Willy William, Felices los 4 de Maluma, Me Rehúso de Danny Ocean y la versión original de Despacito, con Fonsi y su compatriota Daddy Yankee.

"Por primera vez tenemos siete canciones latinas en el chart global de Spotify, incluyendo tanto el original como el remix de Despacito, el himno indiscutido de este verano",  dijo Rocío Guerrero, directora de Head of Latin Culture de Spotify. Otro gran éxito ha sido Danny Ocean, uno de los artistas latinos emergentes de Spotify, que ha acumulado más de 318 millones de arroyos con Me Rehúso", agregó.
